About Our Client: 

A company that provides chemistry CRO/CDMO service, supporting the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotech, and specialty chemistry industries. It specializes in medicinal chemistry SAR development to process optimization for multi-ton manufacturing.


The BD position will leverage their drug discovery background to drive revenue growth in medchem CRO and API manufacturing CDMO businesses.


Role Description

* Manage business development efforts for signed territories within the US with the objective of increasing business and developing company brand in the territory.

* Lead generation: identify prospects based on primary market research for for CRO/ CDMO offerings.

* Conference/ Event planning: coordinate with marketing department and prepare plan for conferences within territory for business development activities.

* Cold-calling: for identified leads, initiate communication (digital, phone-calls or in-person meetings) and promote CRO/ CDMO offerings.

* Proposal management: Once RFPs are received from customers, reach out to internal stake-holders for coordination and compilation of formal offer.

* Work report: provide regular updates of work done in the territory in terms of customers reached, calls done, opportunities created on a monthly basis.

* CRM: Document all information regarding leads and customers in CRM for record-keeping and tracking.

* Diligently follow-up with customers for timely collection of any outstanding invoices.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in chemistry or science or management
  • 2-15 years of BD experience in pharmaceutical industry (discovery CRO or CDMO preferred)
  • Go-getter and self-driven personality with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, pioneering spirit, strong customer service awareness and team spirit.
